I'm trying to hook up these speakers to an audiotechnica turntable. I followed the instructions and verified that it is set up correctly but whenever music is playing, the only sound coming out of the speakers is an awful popping noise. Any advice? null

I used to get the same popping noise when I connected my Audio Technical Lp-60. What I did to get rid
Of popping was to set the speakers and the turntable to the line setting. For some reason they make a popping noise when they're set to phono. Hopefully this helps.

Take a look at the back of your turn table make sure that whatever setting you have it at (line or phono) you have the speakers set to the same thing. This will fix the issue.

Check on the back of the phono player for a little push button switch to turn speakers on. It should say phono under it.
