yes they have 98db sensitivity and 8 ohms which means the can be driven with just about any receiver the Onkyo will have no problems driving these speakers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Absolutely I run a pair of tower reference klipsch daul 8s a pair of MTX dual 6.5 towers plus MTX Center channel subs etc... use it for home theater an DJ... it's reliable and certainly powerful enough!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Most definitely. ..Klipsch speakers do not require a ton of power to them to sound amazing. ....very efficient speakers!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. These would only be used for the Main speakers, and since they can handle up to 150W continuous, no issues with over-driving them. They are high efficiency speakers, but it'll be a question of just how large of space you need to fill, how lively the space is, and at what volume level is your "normal" listening levels. I'm using them in a 15x20 ft. room with a carpet, and driving them with a 110 watt amplifier, and rarely turn the volume up above 25% when listening to vocals/light classical music. That said.... If you listen to vocal music / talking heads on TV, you'll want a good center channel that is crisp, clear, and blends well with the main speakers. Think clear center, yet you'll want to have a good stereo effect from left, through center, to right. You'll want to be able to pick out each artist's placement just as if you're at a live concert. Further, do want to be concerned about the center and the surround speakers so the sound quality matches the main speakers. [i.e. a good "consistent" match enhances for a richer, more natural sound, a poor match is distracting as if the speakers are "out of phase."] The surrounds are low power, but they still need to provide clear reverberations. Bottom line: You want clear, natural sound, not necessarily higher volumes. Unless you're in a huge space, or you listen to dueling basses/timpani, then you'll only need a single powered subwoofer. Do your homework based on the amp manufacturer's recommendations for placement of the speakers (and tweak based on the room characteristics and the material you listen to most often.) Good luck... and good listening!
