Yes these can be used as height speakers they have key hole in back

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Definitely, when hung on the wall they are like a monopole surround, so would work as regular height channels. I’ve got 4 currently serving as ATMOS front/rear, but just ordered up some SVS Prime Elevation and will be acquiring their ceiling adapter to mount to the ceiling and then will use 2 of the 4 RP-140SAs as surround back channels. Some people have reported they work fine as ATMOS/DTSX speakers when hung from the wall high up, but Klipsch doesn't at all recommend using in that fashion.

Read the instructions and you'll notice it recommends using 2" or longer screws as the hanging point. If you can't find how to run sound to them on your receiver, but there is a spot for them to plug in... then you might need to go into your receiver's settings and re-calibrate/re-set the amount of speakers your receiver is seeing. I had to go through the whole settings process on my receiver.
