The exact reason I purchased this over the wired model was because it was cheaper. I am running it wired with no issues.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes this unit can also run wired. I just set this up and you should know the wireless works perfect! So you have options.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. This sub offers the availability to be wired or wireless. I bought the Wireless version for the same reason.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm guessing there may be a similar model that is causing some of the confusion on this but the R-10Swi can be run either wireless or wired by using a cable from the SW out on your Receiver into the LFE port on the back of the Sub. (Links to manual below.) A subwoofer cable is not provided, so if you want to run wired you'll obviously need to get a cable. According to the specs the wireless options is at CD quality. For most applications, Spotify, Netflix or other streaming services that are compressed below CD quality, the SW wireless feature will not be the limiting factor. Even if you use Tidal, CD or DVD, I doubt that any down-grade to CD quality would be noticeable. The quality of the wireless option should be similar to Heos, Sonos, etc. - not bluetooth. All that said, I'm old school and I like cables. I've been looking at this for sometime and haven't been able to pull the trigger, although I may today. The reviews are great and this is incredible value at $300. However, if you're looking for speakers that are acoustically neutral, Klipsch may not be your best bet. When I listened at the Best Buy display, the bass sounds very over-pronounced and muddy. Hopefully this can be dialed down and / or equalized. http://www.klipsch.com/products/wireless-subwoofers?model=r-10swi#product-downloads http://assets.klipsch.com/product-manuals/R-10SWiR-12SWi-Manual.pdf
