Klipsch is very good for music
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The easiest way would be doing a side by side comparison at a stereo store. Other than that I would suggest Google reviews of each an develop your own opinion. I personally have been using Klipsch products for over 3 decades and have always been satisfied with their performance.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not familiar with the ELAC. I just Googled it, and it seems to be available by online sales only. with any kind of speakers, you gotta be able to hear them to see if you like them. And that's subjective. For example, I hate Polk Audio speakers. There is nothing wrong with them, and they are very well made. But they just sound too "bright" for my tastes. Cerwin-Vega sounds, well, unrefined. JBL is also an excellent speaker, but it sounds cooler (as in not a warm, comforting sound). None of this is scientific, and none of this can show up on some specification page some folks love. But that's my opinion on their sounds, so when I'm buying speakers, I always come back to Klipsch. The ELAC looks like a decently-built sub, and it gets good reviews, but you need to find a way to hear it. Then, pick the one that makes you close your eyes and say, "Yeah... that's the one."
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Klipsch 120sw delivered the power and the lows that I was looking for. Elac sub might sound more refined but was lacking something. I bought the Klipsch sw even though I match it with Elac debut 6.5 tower fronts.
