Yes it can be used alone with another tv. The subwoofer will not be used along with a separate stereo system. The subwoofer is Bluetooth connected only with the Soundbar with individual units such as television or stereo system or your cell phone if you have bluetooth capability cell phone you can use it that way playing such as Pandora or iHeartRadio or any other thing as long as it's Bluetooth compatible

I doubt you could do this, since the sub-woofer is wireless and the radio frequency from the sub-woofer is setup as a total system with the sound bar. I would recommend purchasing an SLS sub-woofer for your stereo system IF your stereo has provisions for a sub-woofer channel. If not then perhaps it's time to go to Best Buy and talk to the experts about purchasing an updated digital stereo package. Onkyo has some great selections there.

I don’t know. It is connected by bluetooth to the sound bar. It might connect to a stereo that also connects sub via Bluetooth. There are no physical connection on the back of the sub. I would keep it with the sound bar. Incredible sound.
