A magnet field will not affect modern screens that are LCD/LED based, they do not have the beam of electrons to be affected by magnets. Magnets used effect two primary things in electronics, CRTs (Cathode Ray Tubes) and Hard Drives... So if have one of the above mentioned LCD/LED TV's, speaker placement should be what ever looks or sounds best to you.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, but a rule of thumb for setting up speakers like this is to have them about the same distance apart from each other as you are from your television. Having them closer or wider is not that big of a deal, though.
