• You should purchase 2 for a stereo or home theater set up and use them for left/right.

• The R-620F features dual 6.5" spun-copper IMG woofers. Two of these tower speakers are recommended for optimal sound imaging and reproduction.

• Dual means it has 2 drivers. You "could" use one, but you won't have stereo sound, be missing lots of the sounds, and won't be very impressed.
