You need 2 speakers if you connect it to a stereo amplifier, which is the other item that you need. Make sure you get an amplifier (or receiver) that has enough power to power these speakers. Why buy $500 speakers and power them from a $100 amp? Doesn't make sense. Enjoy.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It depends on the setup and for what purpose. For example if just listening to music then I’d recommend getting at the very least 2 speakers. For a home theater setup to watch movies, etc then multiple different speakers are best. You will need speaker wires as well as a receiver to connect them to.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on what Purpose and room you intend to use it for. But yes you need to purchase a multimedia receiver and speaker wire to use this speaker. Technically you can use just one speaker with the receiver but I wouldn’t recommend it for a living room setup. It’s very load but definitely need a min of two speakers for movies and a sub if you like deep bass. Definitely worth every penny for my setup. Hope that helps.
