In order to get stereo you must have 2 speakers. Home theater generally requires as many as 5 or more. But if you have better (loud) speakers and a center speaker you will have a good system
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You want at least 2. If your budget can allow for it, 4 would be nice, 2 in the front, 2 in the back. Theater speakers ideally should all be able to produce the full range of sounds from 20 hertz to 20 kilohertz. But budgets and room size also need to be considered. Most people get 2 beefy speakers for the fronts, and 2 smaller speakers for the surrounds since the surrounds are usually not required to produce the full range.
