• I have the model 35's with 8" and very thick carpet and I really haven't noticed any deadening of the sound on mine there nice and crisp!.

• Yes, they will work on a carpeted floor. The carpet will absorb some of the sound but not enough you are going to notice. More so help stop the sound from bouncing around the room

• I have them on the carpet and there is no noticeable distortion that I can hear. I thoroughly enjoy them. Great speakers for the price.
