“Looking to hang 10 of these on the side walls of my shop, but was wondering how far they need to be away from the wall with the rear port. Not sure if that would effect their performance or not.”

Klipsch has much better options to do that with than the 820F. However, since you’re asking the question, you only need enough room to run the speaker wire behind the speaker. I you connected the wire prior to hangin it, you could put it essentially against the wall. The speakers rock, so you may want to reconsider downsizing to an actual wall hanging speaker for your shop. Would take up less space as well.
