While this set up is possible, the R-34C will have a frequency response of 82Hz - 21kHz. Your subwoofer should be crossed over at around 80-100Hz.

I'm sure that this would work what you are thinking of doing, probably depends on what you listen to most. I also have a sub and my configuration is great for movies as well as listening to the stereo. There is someone who works in the home theater department that I would encourage you to talk to his name is Randall. He works at the Longmont store. At any rate talk to someone in the theater department at your closest Best Buy store.
