• It is not that tall at all. About 4 inches tall. Slightly taller than most tv frames. Only an issue if your tv doesn't have a stand or mount.

• It is a little higher, but I added a couple of 2 x 4's cut to size under my tv to raise it over the sound bar. None the less, this sound bar is worth it.

• Maybe higher for some but I mounted TV last and fits perfectly. I wanted a higher sound bar so it would hide the wires coming down behind the TV.

• No it does not. However it may cause line-of-sight issues when using your TV or Universal remote to power up or down your TV.

• No it does not block the view unless your tv has no stand at all. It is no taller than any other sound bar I have seen.
