This lock only uses Bluetooth. There is no way to hook it up to a Wi-Fi network. If the batteries run out while you’re outside there are keys included and you can use it as a regular lock. The system gives you plenty of warning when the batteries are getting low so that you could change them before they run out.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Kevo lock communicates via Bluetooth wireless technology with your Kevo-compatible smart device (phone, tablet or another mobile internet-connected device) or Kevo fob. If your smart device battery dies, you can always use the Kevo fob or a standard key to unlock your door. You can also sign into the app on another supported smart device, and your eKeys will be instantly transferred to it. As with any lock, we recommend you have access to a backup key.
