• The panel on Kwikset model #914 SmartCode Touchpad Electronic Deadbolt Lock - Venetian Bronze does not stay lit all the time, the panel lights up 2 ways. 1.) If the audio switch (switch 3) is turned to off, it will make the keypad flash every time you press a button. 2.) If the lock button is pressed while it's in the locked position, it will light up the keypad for a short period of time.
