• I haven't used this specific drive with that specific config, but based on technical basics, the answer would be yes. Also, don't forget that with Mac's Disk Utility, you can make pretty much any drive "compatible".

• I am using mine with an M1 iMac for time machine. The disc utility app can format the drive to suit your neeeds. This is basically true for all external drives
