I wanted to know this too. Had a hard time finding the answer easily, but was able to piece it together from a few different sources. While the interface is USB 3.1 Gen 2, the internal drive is only a 2.5" platter (5400 RPM) with a SATA III controller - which practically defeats the benefits of the Gen 2 USB interface. If you're looking for performance over any other USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 drive, this isn't it. Most online reviews are hitting a max transfer rates of around 140MB/s, which seem to back this up. You could shuck it and swap in an SSD for some added performance, but at that point you might as well get something else. It look really nice though, so... there's that.

Scroll down to the description "From the Manufacturer" > Documents > User Manual > Page 7 of 26 of the pdf. Or for short: USB 2.0 480mb/s USB 3.1 10Gb/s Thunderbolt 3 40 Gb/s
