• the USB 3.0 cable where it attaches to the PC or Mac is no different than 2.0 so it would work just fine. It just won't be as fast of a transfer rate.

• Technically speaking the answer is yes. However, you'll be throttled at USB 2.0 transfer speeds, so just be aware of that.

• It is compatible, with no separate cable needed. However you will lose the advantage of the faster interface. It would be much more economical to buy the cheaper USB 2.0 model unless you planned to need the Thunderbolt speed in the near future.

• Yes, USB 3.0 is compatible with 2.0 you just won't be able to take advantage of the higher speeds..

• I think it is compatible with USB 2.0 as well as the 3.0 but maybe it is 3.0 and 4.0

• It has a USB 3.0 and a lightning bolt input. Not compatible with USB 2.0 Backwards.
