QuestionCorrect me if I'm wrong, this product comes with both a USB-C (new, small, oval) and a USB-A 3.0 (classic, big, rectangle). One is built-in, the other is a separate cable. Which cable is built in and which comes included, but separate?

- Answer You are correct. The attached, built in cable is thunderbolt, the other attaches via a USB-C cable on one end, to a class USB-A 3.0 on the other end.

QuestionI'm currently using OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.6 ... is this LaCie hard drive compatible with my system? My son reformatted it then I did a back up on it, then read the box and my system was NOT listed! I immediately ejected it. Have I done damage?!

QuestionI was thinking about using this for a video cache, but it says data transfer is 130 mbps, which is the same speed as any USB connection. Does the Thunderbolt connection make that any faster?

- Answer Yes it will. If your APPLE HAS Thunderbolt 2, this is an ok choice. If your Appler has Thunderbolot 3 you need something else.

- Answer The device has an integrated Thunderbolt 3 cable, so should be compatible. It will also has a USB C port and adapter cables for USB C and USB A.
