- Answer This unit does not have the conventional "Tip-over" switch. But this has a n Overheat protection to where the unit will automatically turns off when the internal temp will rise to a level in which the unit deems it to be unacceptable.

- Answer Yes as long as it doesn’t get rained on. Designed for inside. Not sure if this would be the heater to buy. If the heater is close then u may be ok just depends on how cold it is outside.
