• I've dropped mine more than a couple of times. I might have just been lucky but the phone has survived with no issues.

• I had this case for my Note 5...of course it didn't have the LED feature but is exactly the same otherwise. I dropped my phone several times, on our driveway pavers and tile floor and not even a dent in the corners. Maybe I was just lucky with the way it fell but it protected my Note 5 really well.

• It will protect better than a shell case but not as good as the Ottrrbox Defender. Also, because the front flap is not magnetic, it may open in a drop exposing the phones screen.
