Will this stick to a Berber carpet? null

The tape will probably not stick well on Berber carpet. But if you take the strip and lay it down with some weight on it, it should lay flat enough to work well on Berber carpet. You can even roll it the opposite direction and that could help it lay more flat on carpet. I feel the tape is best used on tile or similar surface.
