A:AnswerHello Nick,
The power module is only available with the complete kit. The power cable we supply with the assembly should not be substituted as it would void the product warranty and Listing.
A:AnswerYes, this soundbar power kit can be used with a sound bar that would be surface mounted to the wall. Please reference the link below to the installation instructions for this product. Should you have any additional questions please feel free to call us direct at 1-800-621-0049 and choose option 3 from the main menu for technical support. Thank you for your interest in our product.

A:AnswerThis product has not been discontinued. The kit contains prewired, in-wall rated cables so you can safely and quickly add a soundbar with wires hidden in the wall with professional results. The kit will work with just about any soundbar. We will work on updating the content on bestbuy.com, but until then, please reach out to us at 1-800-621-0049 or email at customer.support-wm@legrand.us with any questions and we would be happy to assist.
A:AnswerIf your wall is built at least a 2x4 thick you’re good. This doesn’t really need much depth to be installed at all. The wiring inside can be manipulated in between studs in as much space that’s back there between them.
A:AnswerYes, you could replace the screws with longer screws (we don't sell them, but they are a standard screw size that can be purchased at any hardware store), however we caution using an in-wall kit like this on plaster since plaster is likely to crack when drilled into.
A:AnswerYou just mash the insulation back to run the wires. So yes it can be used on an exterior wall. The interior wall where I installed mine had insulation in it. It made fishing the wires harder. Fortunately I have an electricians fish tape. The sticks in the kit tend to bind up in the insulation.
A:AnswerNo you don't need this kit, if you don't mind having a power cord and AV cable or cables exposed between your television and the sound bar. If your sound bar will be tight against the television, then the simple two outlet kit will work. If there is any space between the television and sound bar, or the television is on a swivel mount, you really should just get the three outlet kit.
A:AnswerThink it is 2 1/2 inches. And yes that hole saw will cut through wood. You'll have to use a screw driver to push out the wood plug (just like the drywall that will be in there). It's a surprisingly good hole saw.
A:AnswerNot much harder. I'd recommend using an electrician's fish tape instead of the included fish sticks. Just be careful to not hook the insulation when you pull cables back through the wall.
A:AnswerDan, please send us your mailing address via email to technical.support@legrand.us . I can send them out to you. Please put to attention Brandon.
