yes you can set whatever photo / pic you want... not had any problem with photo's being clear make sure the photo you use is cropped / sized right if you make a photo for a standard square screen but put it on a wide screen res it will make the photo look weird.

the background pic can be changed, and you can choose the background color. I suggest if you really want a more clear picture, then the intel i3 i5 and i7 sixth and seventh gen processors would be ideal. with intel HD graphics, and those can vary in iris, iris pro, and intensive intel HD, you can look up online the different types of intel HD graphics. keep in mind the newer processors are now combined processors, meaning the central and graphics processors are now one unit, as before they were two separate types of processors. also, media creation is now 30% faster process. if you are looking for a multi media computer, go to lenovo.com and type in their search area, "mutli media idea pad", or "mutli media".

Yes, you can. Right click on the desktop. Select "personalize" A window will open and you will see at the top, your desktop screen. The drop down menu lets you select a picture, solid color or slide show for your desktop background. Then below that you have stock photos you can choose or you can browse your computer for any picture you choose to add as your background.
