I only got to use it one time before the screen's led was messed up. Make sure you take you time closing the lid very carefully. Any pressure on it will hurt it. It's been messed up 2weeks after I bought it.

Lenovo - 110-15ISK 15.6" Laptop - Intel Core i3 - 4GB Memory - 1TB Hard Drive - Black
Just look at the features!
Intel core, fast even when multi tasking. 4gb gives you reliable output. 1 TB hard drive offers ample storage for your photos and files. Quick responsive processor enables to you to perform at your best and get the job done. Many a late night homework sessions on this one. Although not a gaming computer, you can rely on the responsive rendering and the sharp graphics this offers. Bluetooth connectivity is a breeze. Keyboard is easy to yse but takes a bit of getting used to a few of the placements, certainly not a deal breaker.
We use this laptop everyday and would highly recommend it to anyone. A great bang for the buck. You will not be let down by this Lenovo powerhouse.

It's light. It's cheap. It works. The build quality looks disgusting at first glance but you grow out of it. Just make sure to take good care of it. It looks like it can break being dropped from the height of an inch tall hahah. The power button is lame... It takes about one small tap and it might turn on or off on you whichever one is more inconvenient. Having no detachable battery pack threw me for a loop. To take off the battery, if it were to ever go out on you requires removal of numerous parts. Usually batteries last a very long time before it goes bad but yea... it is going to be annoying to replace. Don't expect the laptop to handle lots of load... Opening 5 tabs on the browser and using Adobe Reader already stresses the system. It can play League of Legends on its highest settings no problemo--just a tip to anyone who is wondering if they can play the game on this laptop.
Yea... this laptop is a great buy if you need it to just get you through college. No need for some heavy, fancy, pricey laptop that you carry everyday through miles of walking from class to class just to get you tired and sore. Knowing most college students, we get out of breath just climbing stairs....!

For the ultra-budget shoppers, this is a great laptop. You can get it for as little as $250 ($225, if Best Buy has their VISA Checkout promotion). And honestly $250 is the most I would pay for this for a few reasons: first, it is a Core i3, 6th generation no less. Core i3 is good, and will be good for the intended party (mother), but for most parties it is not sufficient. Second, the design. The build is 100% cheap plastic. You had better make sure you never drop this laptop. And there is no quick-access panel to access to the hard drive or RAM slot for upgrades, the whole bottom must come off, which includes a screw beneath the keyboard. Third, some of the specs had their corners cut - Bluetooth 4.0, ethernet is only 10/100, 640x480 webcam, 768p screen resolution. Fourth, all the Lenovo budget laptops have a horrible keyboard design - the UP arrow key cuts right into the LEFT PART of the right shift key, the numpad is a bit thinned and the space between the numpad and the QWERTY keyboard is limited so you it is sometimes hard to feel the division. Fifth, the battery is built-in, non-removable. In 2-3 years, the average age for a LiON battery, you won't be able to simply replace the battery, you will need to replace the whole computer.
Yeah, tons of downside, but, if the intended user is low maintenance and non-technical, you can't go wrong for $250.
As far as the upside? For a super-budget computer, the following items are very nice to have: a full HDMI port, a decent screen, unlike some budget laptops which have a single RAM slot and max out at 16GB this laptop has 4GB built-in plus a RAM slot letting you max out at 20GB, the RAM is DDR4, it is light (as far as I feel) and thin, the Wi-Fi is AC capable.

Good computer for basic tasks

Let me say this: if you want a computer to stream videos, edit a document, and have eight tabs open in your browser, then look elsewhere. This is not the computer for you. And don't even think of playing any serious games on this computer. Browser games maybe, but don't try any MMO's or FPS on this computer.
If you want to run one or two tasks - say, stream a video and upload/edit some photos - then this computer will work great. It'll be slow, but not so slow as to be unusable.
I like the large local hard disk - 1TB is plenty for what you'll be using this computer for. It comes with a media reader, which I use to upload and edit photos and videos from my cameras. It actually comes with a DVD player in case you still use DVDs. The computer is light and has a big screen and comfortable keyboard.
There are some significant downsides. The default maximum volume is quite soft. This is quite annoying. I recommend a free utility like Equalizer APO (and the Peace GUI for Equalizer APO) to increase the loudness. That will of course distort the sound somewhat. So all in all, the sound on this machine is terrible. Fine for streaming videos; not recommended for music playback unless you like using headphones.
Also, the keyboard has an odd layout, where the right-shift key is quite small and the page-up key has been pushed up next to it. You can overcome this with a keymapping utility, but it's annoying.
Those are the only real downsides. If you manage your expectations and use this computer for one or two things at a time, then this is a terrific computer for its price.
No one bought this computer for me or paid me for this review. I bought this with my own money after doing a bunch of research on computers at this price range. I knew going in what it would be capable of and it met those expectations.

So I purchased this in store and got it a bit cheaper since it was an open box. It also went on sale for $80 less, so it was quite a bargain. The low price point was one of my main reasons for purchasing.
Off the bat, it's got a good amount of screen real estate. The resolution isn't the greatest, but I found it adequate for my needs. I was looking to get a supplemental PC that I could be mobile with to do typical office stuff; check email, browse the web, type word documents, watch videos, etc. For the average person looking for something to handle everyday tasks, it's great. It's fairly light, has a decent battery getting me roughly 5 to 6 hours of light work, around 3 for stuff like watching movies or wireless streaming to other displays. I haven't had any issues with Windows 10, the i3 makes running programs zippy. 1TB of HDD space is nice, even though I wouldn't use it all given its a laptop. The full size keyboard is nice, and the keys have a good pressure resistance. Typing is not really noisy like some other keyboards, so it's good there. I like how it has integrated Bluetooth. Didn't ever overheat on me, even when I had it sitting on a blanket for long periods. Overall, it's a great deal for those on a budget.
Now for some of the things I don't like about it, which aren't much. For one thing, I don't like how the right shift key is half it's normal size. I'm a right handed person and I tend to use the right shift key a lot when I type, so having it's normal size split to make room for the up arrow key irritates me. It's not too big of a deal, just something that irks me about the keyboard. The speakers suck, they just totally suck. It's not so bad though since you can just connect some headphones wirelessly, problem solved. The login screen has a delay when you power up, a little annoying having to wait when you're so used to instant logins like your phone. That's pretty much all I disliked. If you can snag this for under $200, it's worth it in my opinion.

Purchased two Lenovo - 110-15isk 15.6 Laptop - Intel Core I3 - 4gb Memory - 1tb Hard Drive - Black for Christmas presents. The salesman said it would be perfect for my kids for what they do. Both kids love them, especially since their old laptops were so slow or half the time not working. These laptops were perfect for them and for the price I couldn't pass them up (Black Friday). They are not gaming laptops, these are for school and pleasure web surfing.

Solid Lower Mid-Range laptop

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
This Lenovo laptop has features which move up from the entry level area, and firmly into to Mid-Range area. Starting with the Intel I3 CPU, you are moving up from the Celeron and basic Pentium processors. It has a full size 5.6 inch screen (non touch the models I've purchased) and a full 1 TB Hard Disk Drive, Minimal RAM of 4 GB is adequate for most people, but if you are going to multi-task with several programs open at once, consider a laptop with at least 6, if not 8 GB of RAM. It's built like you'd expect from Lenovo, solid, but still with plastic bottom cover and plastic Screen cover. All in all, if you are looking at a solid mid-level (not entry level) this is a good choice.
To move up to the next level of laptops (Upper-Midlevel to lower Upper-End) it needs more RAM, an SSD instead of a mechanical Hard Drive, and composite or metal case coverings. It will handle anything that someone who just wants a solid machine, will throw at it. As for someone who just wants to browse the internet and read emails, this is a great machine, although you might help your budget looking at an entry level machine. However, we never recommend entry level machines unless price is your main factor in choosing a laptop.

after reading the reviews on this I felt confident that it would suit my needs. I do agree on the comment regarding the shift button being too far to the right than the average keyboard. Unless you make the conscious effort to reach further your going end up starting new sentences where you don't want them. it responds quickly, is lightweight and very slim. all in all for me it has been a good purchase.

Bought this to replace a Lenovo G560. Other reviews had expressed concern about the right side of the keyboard (shift key) being awkwardly placed. They are correct. If you are a two handed typist that does not look at the keyboard it is not at all where it belongs. The older G560 by comparison has it right. (The keyboard is my reason for 4 stars)
Beyond that, from my limited use so far,
Pro - storage (1TB), expandable memory, nice display resolution, CD drive built into unit. SD card reader. Numeric keypad. Hinges for display seem solid.
Con - only 2 USB ports, and one gets tied up with a mouse dongle if you like using a wireless mouse/keyboard like I do. (The laptop has a built in Bluetooth - too bad the mouse can't be paired with that). No VGA output (yes it has HDMI, but, if you like using dual monitors and have an older one you will need a converter)
I do not use it for gaming or the like, but it is doing great for everything I bought it for. It was on sale when I bought it and the combination of price and features was too good to pass up.

Didn't notice it was 4GB onboard memory. Purchased an 8GB module thinking it'd replace a single 4GB module inside. Once opened, noticed the ram slot was empty. Worried it wouldn't work with the 8GB module but thankfully it did. System Properties says 12GB of memory and no issues since install.
Purchased this memory: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/crucial-8gb-2-1-ghz-ddr4-sodimm-laptop-memory/5420803.p?skuId=5420803
Used this Lenovo install guide: https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/ideapad_110-14_15isk_hmm_201607.pdf
Level of difficulty of the ram install: Easy, 3 out of 10 difficulty

I had never had this brand before so I was a bit skeptical but after having it a month, I love it! It's lightweight so it's very easy to take with you if needed. It's fast and works well for internet browsing, word processing and social media. I have an online store and I use it daily for that. It's very user friendly and I had it connected to everything and running in just a few minutes. I'm so glad the associate showed me this one! I didn't need touch screen or anything super fancy - my goal was functional and it defintely is!

This laptop replaces a 2 year old Lenovo that was lagging when it came to online games. This unit keeps up just fine.
My only complaint is the power cord. I realize eliminating the 120v portion of the cord saves the most money (versus the 12v cable, which is much smaller in diameter), but eliminating the entire 120v cord kinda sucks. The two, 120v prongs are built into the converter, which is a bit larger than a deck of cards; consequently, plugging it in to a power strip means you have to cover two outlets. It's short too - only 6' of 12v cord. Solution is to buy a dedicated extension cord, so not the end of the world, just irritating.
Setup was easy/uneventful and was online within just a few minutes.
For the price, hard to beat,
