• You can play DVDs on this laptop right out of the box, and if you don't like the DVD software that comes installed on it, it's pretty easy to find free DVD players via the Microsoft app store.

• Those two things are not the same but they work very similarly. The computer plays DVD movies very well. I have had no problems.

• I do not know if the video viewer is Cyberlink Power DVD, but it played everything I had.
