If you cannot find someone to upgrade the memory to 8 gb and install an ssd instead of that mechanical drive I would probly buy something better. It is cheap but a lot of newer laptops are coming with ssd hard drives. Minimum for most people 8 gb ram and 240 gb SSD. Just my opinion. Processor doesn't matter unless you are a heavy user.

It is good for light use and doing such work as Microsoft Office projects (with purchase of software), browsing the internet, email and social media. It can also play basic games only, some of which come with the system. It is not meant for more advanced games. We recommend you check with the specific game software publisher for their requirements to run the game, then compare those requirements to this system's configuration. If this is the type of work the teenager will be doing on the system, it would be a good choice.
