• The Lenovo 15.6 Laptop Intel Core i3 does not have an internal optical drive, so you'd have to purchase an USB external DVD drive in order to burn CDs.

• Yes, the DVD/CD drive is advertised as also being a DVD/CD writer. I have not tried to burn any DVD or CDs, so I cannot comment on the formats supported.
