Why can't i play a dvd or blu ray on it? null

DVDs should play with no issues. But I don't think it's a Blueray drive to play Blueray discs. Download free VLC Media Player - great player that can play many different file formats.

Dear Anonymous: it should play DVD discs within your region specific area with out a problem and the discs having been compatible but as far as a Blu-ray disc it will not as this laptop does not come with a BR media drive. hope this answered your questions Verbal
