• DVD-ROM means DVD read-ONLY-memory. This Lenovo reads DVDs and CDs and let's you burn CDs. That is, you burn material on the laptop onto a CD. I cannot imagine why you would ask about burning a CD "onto" the laptop. That's called downloading, isn't it?

• Putting a blabk cd and putting music on it from there, yes you can using a specific application (Windows media player, itunes, real player, etc) but to copy directly from another cd no you cannot you' need two cd slots
