It really depends on the requirements and compatibility of the games and software you plan on using. We recommend you check with the game and software publisher's web sites for their compatibility with Windows 10 Home 64-bit operating system and the minimum/recommended hardware requirements (Is a Graphics card required, the processor speed and the minimum required system RAM and the minimum available hard drive space) to run their program, then compare those requirements to this system's configuration.

On the other questions - yes, it plays internet video (Youtube etc.) very well, and also came with PowerDVD which lets me play DVDs. I have Paint.Net installed for image editing and it runs just fine. As for video editing, I don't have video editing software installed (yet) but I have no reason to think that it would be a problem (I had Sony Vegas installed on the old laptop that the Lenovo replaced, and the Lenovo is faster, has better graphics, and has more RAM - so I'm pretty sure it should run something like Vegas with no trouble). Last question, about lifetime: I *hope* it has a good, long lifetime :) I've only had it a few weeks. But it's pretty solid and I think it should last a good run if taken care of.
