• This model comes with a free 1-year subscription to Microsoft Office 365. It is installed on the device and you don't need to be connected to the internet to use it after initial set up. After the 1-year free period, you will either need to purchase a renewal or another version of Microsoft Office.

• You should buy a license. It includes a trial Office 365, and after a few days you have to buy the monthly/annual subscription. I recommend buying a perpetual license of office 2016 pro plus (there are lots of sites offering oem licenses, for example nokeys). Regards, AJC
