Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you should always check manufacturers websites for updated drivers for all hardware you buy. Windows does have generic drivers available for most hardware /peripherals however they will not work to thier best efficiency and can cause issues during normal use, even causing slow load times and freezing up your pc while windows tries to figure out what's what or restarts the "broken" drivers to clear up any miscommunication. Also, some features may not be compatible with the generic drivers and you could be missing out on some of the quality of your product that you paid good money for, why would you not want to have access to everything that you paid for? It's not hard and it does not take long, and always do it, even if your buy your product new from a retailer, manufacturers update there drivers often, more so on brand new products to include things that may have been forgotten before shipping the product, and you never know just how long your product had been sitting in a warehouse or the shelf before you bought it... there could be several updates that have been done between product shipment, and purchase so it does not hurt to check once in a while for updated drivers for your already installed items as well...from video cards to the motherboard it's self, individual drivers need to be kept up, if your pc is running slow or just off...75% it is outdated driver issues as a cause, and pc fix it businesses make a ton of money "fixing" what you could o yourself in a matter of minutes and probably should be doing as a regular maintenance kind of thing. Just like changing oil and rotating the tires on a car, pulling the side panel off and "dusting" and driver upkeep is important to the long term enjoyment and usability of your pc.
