Lenovo - 23" IPS LED HD Monitor - Black

Bought two of these for my new desk (dual monitors), and have them mounted on a double-monitor stand. One connects to the DVI output of my Lenovo laptop, the other the VGA output. I was worried that the different outputs would result in very different pictures, but that turned out not to be the case, both look great. There are so many "cheap" monitors on the market, I'm glad I spent a little more and took the step up to Lenovo monitors.

These are the best monitors you can get for the money. And they are very good, but I had a couple issues that kept them from being 5 stars. I read online about people who got some and found that they had different LCD panels on the inside and therefore the color does not match. I got two that are used side by side on a dual monitor mount, so I really wanted consistency from side to side. I didn't get that. I had to go back to Best Buy and go through all of the screens they had in stock to try to find two that had the same hue. Even the employees at Best Buy had to agree they didn't match right. Either the whites or the blacks didn't match. I could get the white to match, but not the colors. Same vice versa. To the credit of Best Buy, they let me go through about 6 monitors to try to find a match. We never did, but I took home the two that were the closest. Not perfect, but not too bad as long as I have a different image on both screens (not spanning a single image across them). The brightness is great. The multiple inputs is handy. They are VESA mountable, which was also another must-have feature for me. I did have to literally saw down my mounting brackets because the power and HDMI ports are too close to the VESA mounting points on the back of the monitor. I trust Lenovo and was disappointed about the inability to match the hue and not thrilled about having to cut out holes in my mounting brackets (not Lenovo's fault entirely) but otherwise am satisfied. If you are getting this as a single standalone monitor, you'll be perfectly happy. If getting two for side by side, be prepared.

I am so happy with this purchase. I love my 2 monitors & have my office set up exactly how I wanted. it. Working from home is so much fun now.

The monitor is excellent. Every friend who has seen the monitor, immediately goes out and buys another one (two folks bought this after I did). The quality and color balance of it is just insane. 23" screen, has HDMI, DVI-D, and VGA; and easy to swap between the ports. It's a glossy screen so it's susceptible to glare, but I haven't had any viewing problems with a well lit room. Games good, looks sharp, low profile (in my opinion). Best monitor that I have ever bought. Don't get the 21.5" cause of the lack of HDMI; go for the 23", you'll be thankful you did. Just keep in mind, its 1080p, nothing greater. If you want a monitor that's greater than 1080p (aka, UHD), this isn't your item. But man... 1080p sure does look good on here!

I am really impressed with the great picture. I was using a TV because it had a bigger screen than my monitor and it wasn't being used. Love the size of the screen and the brightness of the pictures. It was very easy to set up even though I do not have a Lenovo computer.

Excellent picture quality. All the necessary ports available including HDMI. Using this as a secondary screen with my laptop. Works pretty well. No hassle in installation. Only problem is stuttering or motion sickness while watching full hd videos that may be because of the response rate. But you will get use to it in few days. Glare is another issue if you have sunlight or lights falling directly on the screen. Or may be you do not find these two issues noticeable to your eyes. Overall , I am happy with the purchase.

While this isn't THE BEST monitor ever. It's going to be hard to beat for the price point. Right now, it's the lowest I've seen it. I have a few media center machines in my house, and there's one that currently sits under my bed with a monitor hanging from the wall near the side I sleep on. Instead of having some big bulky TV at the end of the bed, it was easier to just hang a smaller set near the bed with an adjustable monitor mount. I can press it against the wall when not in use and pull it towards me for more private viewing. I was looking for a dirt cheap monitor to get some better viewing angles than the other monitor I had. I noticed when I was laying in bed, there would be glare or contrast would look terrible on my old monitor. I went to Best Buy, and saw monitors on their pre-setup monitor housing and didn't see anything I liked with just a DVI-D and HDMI input. When I was walking out, I noticed a Lenovo Small Form Factor desktop with this beautiful picture for in-store. It was running Windows 8.1 and looked great. I hopped on the computer, loaded up a test video (Apple Trailers) then proceeded to look silly in the store moving my head up and down to all angles that I could imagine. This thing replicates a great picture at almost any angle. It's lightweight, great contrast and colors, and even when I hooked it up to a computer to play games or browse the web it was nice and crisp and clear. This is an excellent monitor if you're looking at something to play media and save money. You could pair this with an Apple TV and be set as it does have it's own set of internal speakers, though not that loud in even a quiet environment.
