“Is the screen surface glossy or matte? And why do the specifications not tell this?”

• The screen is glossy. If you are bothered by reflective screens, or the monitor is placed where it will really pick up on reflections, you might want to look elsewhere. I prefer matte screens, but took a chance on this because it seemed like a lot of bang for the buck. I still prefer matte, but I am OK with this monitor.

• It is glossy, but I didn't really notice it until a salesperson told me. I haven't had any problems with glare, although it's in a room where it isn't hit directly by sunlight.

• Under "Performance" in the specifications tab under this product, under the Anti-Glare feature listing the response is "No". You can expect a glossy finish on this screen.
