“why cant i access the brightness settings or the two options to the right of it? ever since i got this monitor, i could never adjust the brightness or contrast or any other options except for image properties and options, but those two wont let me touch brightness.”

Ok just was playing around with the monitor and if the press the first button next to the power button it will bring up the menu that allows you to adjust brightness and contrast. So you press it 3 times and you get brightness and you use the two arrow buttons on the screen to go left and right. I hope that helps.
