Not much really, i would even go to say it is the same system, except upgraded to the core i5, 8gb ram, 1 TB hard drive. same Video Card and resolution too. I say buy this one and change the Hard Drive to an SSD for more performance and battery life <|:D

The only difference seems to be that this 300 17.3 has the "Energy Star" rating (and stickers on it), but the other 300 17.3 does not. (It could be the earlier version was released before the rating was granted or applied.) In any event, I bought the earlier one - without the rating stickers - and am very happy with it. The large screen is impressive (vibrant colors and sharp images) and overall the system performs very well with average multitasking (music, videos or DVDs, Office documents, internet, etc.)
