I got this Lenovo for the Paralegal (MY Paralegal) who assists me with many of my cases and she has raved about this machine. I accidentally bricked a Lenovo she had received from a relative and I wanted her to have something a little faster than the old Windows desktop she had been using. This Lenovo has definitely helped her move more seamlessly from email to word processing to the internet and such and her knowledge and ability to work with the various programs I use has grown exponentially! I think it has helped her to have a workhorse laptop like this Lenovo that she can take home with her and then bring back to our offices. It is not a light machine, but you shouldn't expect such with a near-desktop replacement like this laptop. Of course, having a Windows OS, this machine will slow down when it's updating, but even that lag is nothing compared to the Toshiba Netbook I got for myself around the same time.

First of all...I have been a fan of Lenovo...a.k.a. IBM products for some time now. Second...this is not any gaming computer. There is no hardware that one would find in a gaming computer...but what this is..is a computer that works for everyday use...such as browsing...document writing...email...etc. It can even be slow at a couple of these...but the good news is that it can be upgraded to where it is a pretty fast machine...by adding RAM...and replacing the woefully slow HDD with a SSD.

Big screen to replace monitor. Enough memory and speed for my use.

Needed a computer for a new employee at the office. This laptop was on sale. Screen size is a plus. i3 has had enough speed. Enough ram to have multiple tasks going without lag. Overall decent machine for the cost.

Most laptops these days are designed with small screens. I find that this 17.3 screen, to be the minimum required to place sheets side by side to compare, copy, or merge. It seems that keyboard is backlit, but I could not find a way to do so yet. 4GB of memory, seems little, and may be the reason why it takes a lot of time to respond to instructions, even working locally without internet, such as on a spreadsheet. Many keys on the keyboard, do not always work, resulting in missing letters and numbers, which have to be reviewed, and corrected. I like how quiet the machine is, the screen colors, the USB-like electric connection, cool transformer, enough basic storage (500 GB), even though description says that there is a 1 TB storage that comes with the cam. I do not know yet if these items are solved by the BestBuy Geeks as part of the purchase, or at an extra cost.

I wanted a laptop with a large screen so I could watch movies and have more working space on the screen. I needed a laptop with a DVD/CD rom. I also prefer a number pad next to the keyboard. I got everything I wanted and needed at a reasonable price. The only drawback is the weight--over 7 pounds, but it was worth it to get all the features I desired.

This computer is great for me. I hardly use all the things it can do because I don't need them and don't know how to use them. It is fairly easy to figure out. I love the big screen.

Very nice easy to use great value for the dollar light weight very thin good color on the 17.1 inch screen for 300.00 I don't think for the money there is a better deal

Bought this because I wasn't looking for anything fancy, nor anything too sparse. This fit the bill very nicely. It's lighter than my old laptop and I like the minimalist aesthetic. If you're looking for a solid laptop with a little oomph in the processor department, but you don't want to spend a fortune, I recommend this unit.

I absolutely love the large screen and even though this is a larger sized laptop, it is not bulky. It works really well and does everything I need it to do. The only thing I do not like about it is it takes FOREVER to install updates. Other than that, this is a wonderful machine for an excellent price.

Great price for the product. It had the processor I wanted, enough memory , and all the features I needed. Big screen for watching vids, good speakers for the ears. Great battery life and a good Wi-Fi antenna so I can roam around the place unplugged and listen to anything I want.

Out of the box it performs better than expected. However I upgraded the RAM to 8 GB and installed an SSD, WOW this is a screamer. Upgrading the RAM and HD are extremely easy as there is a removable bottom panel (2 screws) then you slide the cover off. Could not be easier. The screen could have better resolution but for $299.00 on sale this deal could not be topped anywhere.

Screen is nice and big and this laptop functions very well. No issues at all. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because it takes a very long time to update. Other than that, I am very happy with this purchase.

This laptop has a beautiful large clear screen and performs at a reasonable speed considering the price. A little on the heavy side and not much battery life, but it is still a good buy for the price.

Purchased this laptop as just something that I could use to putz around the web, use to travel and maybe create a document or two. When first powered up, after going through the setup process, it was slow to get to the home screen and still took about a minute before it was ready to use. I purchased some RAM from another retailer and increased the speed of tasking significantly. I replaced the 4Gb with 16Gb. I am thinking about replacing the SATA HDD with a faster SSD so I can get the loading speed up to snuff. If someone is looking for a laptop that can be built on and improved, this is a good choice at just $299. If you are looking for something a bit faster and not tech savvy, then I would suggest looking elsewhere.

This was replacing a 6 year old laptop used primarily for photos and iTunes. No big deal- cup is plenty fast and more than enough memory. Basic laptop- worth the money to go up from the no name brands !

I wanted a computer with a big screen so that I could watch movies in bed, this fits the bill perfect!! I also wanted to do light computer gaming, social media, email and photo sharing, etc This laptop works great, it's fast and since I bought my last laptop in 2006 I found the transition easy!!

Great computer and an awesome value! I upgraded the RAM through geek squad and made it even better. Nice display, light weight, and decent battery life.

Great computer at a great price. I was so pleased when I bought one for work, that I bought a second for home. The monitor is large easy to see and very good resolution. Processor speed is great for home computing and surfing the web, and has good and clear sound.
