Hey Bill, this is surely late and won't offer much resolve. I was just leaving a review myself after suffering through similar problems. I would chalk these symptoms up to Win10 updates more than the system itself but the 4GB Ram is also to blame. Your timeframe comes to mind as my unit was freezing and then eventually restarting regularly. I was happy to have that go away before entertaining the urge to smash it on my driveway. Guessing LENOVO did their best to put some patch fixes for the bugs in the nick of time. We were not alone and here I/we are again starting 2/20/2019 And that's after utilizing the Msoft support that I grudgingly pay for yearly. All seemed ok after they opened up Defender and did basic scans. Mind you I already knew and did this myself prior to calling. Odder still, the tech made the mistake of saying when you "browse" the internet. I was on Winblows touted Edge browser reading an article from the homepage. It struck me as a setup and more when I called the number I had on hand which was no longer linked to support. I acted as though I wanted to purchase support in order to speak with someone. They got an earful. Needless to say, I am looking at doing my own build and using Linux as an operating system. Not sure about any of that but knowledge is power and consumer PCs are a scam!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Windows 10 should not freeze, obviously. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686.
