• That long thin bit on the right side of the front of the tower is a flip-open panel, with lots of ports and suchlike. It's quite likely that the start button is behind that flip-out panel, probably towards the top. (Our office manager uses those ports a lot, so she just keeps that panel flipped out full-time.)
