Its newer tech but some of these hybrid you have to look at the speed of the HD and in some cases its 5200-5400 compared to the 2T its probably 7200-7400

A hybrid drive, in this case, has 8GB of solid state memory on the hard drive used for the operating system. This givers the user the quick start up of a solid state drive. This system should boot up in about 20 seconds from off. Plus it provides maximum storage with a full size, in this case 1TB of standard drive storage space for files and programs. A hybrid drive is "the best of both worlds". Obviously, a 2TB hard drive has more storage space but does not offer the quick start up feature of a hybrid drive.
