• The technical phrase is Auto Update Expiration (AUE), meaning the date when a given Chromebook is considered obsolete and automatic software updates from Google are no longer guaranteed. Would probably be a good idea to check the AUE before purchasing any Chromebook

• The AUE can usually be found in the "About Chrome OS" section of the Chromebook
