The question is at what frequency. I found out it can output to a TV at 30Hz without comprising the resolution. don;t think monitors use 30Hz though.

This Chromebook 3 14 supports up to 2 independent displays via native display and 1 external monitor; supports external monitor via USB-C (up to 1920x1080@60Hz). Be sure you have your settings correct at both the Chromebook side and on the external monitor.
