Is the hard drive solid state? null

The laptop I received had both a ssd and hdd

It is a hybrid hard drive. There is a 1TB standard drive that is for normal storage and is accessible by the user. There is also an 8GB solid state cache memory chip within the drive for storage of the operating system. This provides quick start up from off and sleep modes. It is not accessible by the user except to restore the operating system.
