The I-5 memory core is fast and responsive for multimedia, 1TB of storage is a huge upgrade from my previous desktop PC. The integrated graphics card with HDMI is great. I can play some PC games with stunning graphics or just do research & watch videos. I plan to expand the RAM.

Pros: 1. Got it on a deal for $499 2. Fast quad-core processor that can turbo-boost 3. Nearly silent, I can barely notice it is running. 4. It has a very stylish and modern looking case, not over the top. You can easily be proud of this on your desk at work, or have it at home and it looks stylish and professional. 5. Lots of USB 3.0 ports, and the two front USB 3.0 ports are in a wonderful spot, easy to access. 6. It has a hybrid hard drive that is plenty fast. This thing boots cold in about 5-10 seconds at the most. Cons: 1. The keyboard is awful, out of the box it has a very sticky space-bar and fatigues your thumbs when typing. I tried prying it off and shaving off what I thought was the problem but it only helped a little, but it still is very stiff. I have a Lenovo Yoga 710-15 and it has an awful keyboard as well so Lenovo does not have a good track record for keyboards. 2. The graphics card it comes with only has connections for an hdmi and a vga, which is not enough. I am currently running a USB powered DVI connector, so when I use my third screen, it takes up roughly 30-40% of my CPU to do things on that screen. 3. I emailed Lenovo weeks ago to get an answer as to what and how I can upgrade this machine with, and they have not answered me back. I still want to know how I can upgrade this to a better GPU that has more connections so I do not have to run a USB powered screen extender. Please Lenovo, get back to me on this so I can upgrade this machine. I have spend over $1,500 on Lenovo computers in the last month so please do not lose my future business over not contacting me back. Overall: For $499-$600, it is hard to compete with this machine. It can run most modern games on low settings and 720p at 30-40 frames per second, which would be comparable to a modern console. This can be used as a casual gaming machine and even better as a workhorse for your career as I am doing just that. Overall, a great computer.

This is a very nice desk top computer. It is fast (for Hdd) & has lots of storage. Also lots of memory always helps. It was a very fast setup & connected quickly to my wireless router. Also my printer install was fast & trouble free. There is some room for expansion if an extra SSD or Hdd is added, But not much. I wanted to add an extra SSD or 2 but I am limited because of the connections on the mobo & power supply. My previous HP (a smaller unit) had 6 mobo & power supply connections each. I didn't use all but it was nice to have 2 extra when I installed my extra SSD & another dvd-rw drive. This is a nice unit & I don't think you will go wrong in purchasing it.

    Good PC for Students

This computer was very good for students because of the SSHD drive on it. I also enjoyed the fact that it was a Lenovo, basically indicating to me that it would have the least amount of bloatware. The RAM, the Graphics Card, all make this the most versatile PC in its price bracket by far. Now for the bad parts for me, I did not like the expansion process, the computer uses a 10 pin Motherboard power cable so unless you buy the $15 adapter from Hong Kong, you won't be able to upgrade the power supply, which would let you update the Graphics Card. A new graphics card would fit on the motherboard, however it is very tight and the air flow would be absolutely horrible anyways. The quality of the mouse and keyboard are ones to be laughed at. They are very small and overall don't feel good to type on and to move around on, even though the mouse is very clicky. All in all, this is a great PC for someone who has absolutely no intention of upgrading it in the future. I would fully recommend this to a friend with the intention of using it for browsing and using Microsoft Office Applications.

Got this to replace an older machine that was about to give up. I got it as open box special price. Very attractive price for the configuration. It looks like it was sold and then returned. Had some major issues with Win10. Clean re-install fixed the problems for ever! Got the right drivers form Lenovo website. Now it has been working for long time. No issues! Very fast running applications and some times games. Quite and efficient. I have no idea what was the original price but the price I paid for was unbeatable. That's why I always shop with BestBuy!

The computer is fast, quiet and easy to setup. No complaints and the price was very reasonable. I'm not sold on Windows 10 since you have to pin everything you use to the task bar to have immediate clickable access. Often the Windows system is doing something that you don't know it's doing. I find this annoying.

I have a MacBook Pro that I love as my laptop, but in my office I have always had and always will have a desktop. I know I could have gotten a IMac but it wasn't in my budget. I like having both OS to work with for multiple reasons. I currently had a ASUS desktop that I purchased at BB and to the best of my memory, have had it for 8 years. It ran like a beast, just a very slow beast and I knew it was time to upgrade. I'm not one to really keep up to date on things until I need something. I'm truly one to over internet and over review, to the point it becomes frustrating. To make a long story short, I wasn't all that aware of the Lenovo product. I was looking for bang for the buck.....thats where my budget was at the time. I made two trips to my local BB. First trip was a disaster as far as help goes. Walked out and reread reviews. The next trip in I was fortunate enough to get some help from a young man, who could talk my talk. Anyway back to the Lenovo, my sales persons listened to my wants and we narrowed it down to two Lenovo products. I believe this was retailing at 629.00 and they had it on sale for 499.00. Jumped at it because of the i5 processor. Got it home, set up was so easy and get anxiety when doing this, thinking I will do something wrong. I could hardly tell it was on. This has to be one of the quietest machines ever built. It lives under my desk, and I had to actually get down on my hands and knees and put my ear against it to hear anything. Did I mention its blazing fast...well it is. Of course I realize what I was used to was a relic. For those who issued the bad reviews, I guess with anything, especially electronics there are bound to be a few lemons out there, thats why I purchased the maintenance agreement. I am not a "mechanic", thats why I look to the professionals who are. Thanks BB for offering a superior product at such an affordable price, and thank you Lenovo for an amazing product. If your in the market, I would tell anyone to buy this on sale or at full retail. From my perspective you will NOT be disappointed.

I am absolutely in love with my new desktop! It was easy to set up; Windows 10 is a VAST improvement to the old windows 8.... I also love how silent this computer is; you don't even notice it's running. We've used this computer hours on end and it never makes a sound. The specs were wonderful as well; definitely worth the price tag! Now, to find a monitor that is up to par with this...

Thank you for reading my review. My main purpose for this computer was to use it for business. Banking, Quicken, and a few other things that wouldn't need too much process power. That is what this computer is good for. It is not a slow computer to get frustrated with, but it is not a fast computer to handle hard graphic gaming. I bought this computer with the Samsung - CF591 Series 27" LED Curved Monitor - Silver and it looks beautiful on my desk. I only play one game online and that is Left4Dead2 and the min video requirement is 256MB of dedicated video ram so I knew the 2GB would be sufficient. The ran into a little sna-fu when I tried to set it up. Setting it up with the original specs works perfect. I had no issues, but I wanted to add a 500 GB Samsung Solid State hard drive and I was installing Windows 10 using a flash drive. It installed okay, but when the setup program reboot to setup the hardware devices, it froze at the lenovo post/boot screen and I couldn't go further. I tried 2 times to do a full setup of Windows but nothing. So, I have to return the SSD back to best buy. I am not sure if it was the drive, the Windows program. Another thing that I must warn you about. Inside the case is not 2.5 user friendly. Most SSD drives comes in 2.5 inch and the plasic covers that hold the existing hard drive does not use screws to hold the drive in, but it uses pin holes. That is fantastic for the hard drive, but if you want to secure the SSD, you have to buy or have to have your own laptop screws (4 to be exact) to secure the SSD on the plastic case. The good news is that there are screw holes that you can use to secure the SSD if the SSD drive has screw holes on top of the drive.

We did not want to spend a whole lot, so for the money it is a good cpu. I am thinking about adding memory, so that may help it move a little faster. The hard drive has good storage, and it has enough usb drives for portable storage and periferals. it is quiet, and does not emit a lot of heat. Altogether, with upgraded memory I hope we have it for quite a while.

I bought this as my first new computer in 6 years. The computer works great and was very fast out of the box. My only complaint is that this is not the best if you are looking to upgrade. The motherboard will not accept a full length graphics card, and if you want to swap the psu to go with a better card, you will have to order an adapter to connect an ordinary psu to the motherboard. Overall, I am still very happy with this purchase.

Two new things came into my life in the same week, three years ago, this PC and the current president. This PC was definitely the more helpful and less troublesome acquisition :D Seriously, though, In my 20 years of buying PCs for home use, I can honestly say this was the best performing and most reasonably priced. I don't do any serious gaming on it. But I do put its computing speed and memory to the test. I regularly have multiple browser windows open, along with one or more (very often, MORE) additional programs running. I enjoy spending time creating and editing graphic art, Additionally, I run the typical social media platforms (Twitter, Pinterest, etc), I utilize a lot of digital documentation & literature, most of the Microsoft office tools, etc, etc. This PC handles all my demands, and has performed reliably for three years now. I would make the same choice if I had it to do again.
