• No, this unit does not have an optical drive. However, installing anti-virus and firewall software can be directly downloaded from the site of your choosing, giving you a digital download. Also, you can purchase an external optical drive, if you want to use boxed software with the discs. Even most, if not all of the boxed software gives you the option of downloading the software from their site, and using your code to activate the purchase that is inside the box.
