No, the keyboard is not detachable. Look into the Microsoft Surface series. For the size and money you won't find anything better. Asus t100 transformer series is another option. But if you want something Windows based go with the Surface. It costs a little bit more, but it's made for Windows 10 and runs smooth.

Depending on your needs this may be a good or bad choice for you.
