Bought mine during the Christmas season for $299. The regular price is $329 right now. Not much of a sale, but an outstanding buy (imo).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The G50 has an Intel Core i3 processor, so you are paying the same amount to get an Intel processor with less memory. From my research on-line, the AMD A8 in this laptop is equivalent in speed and power to the i3, so to me, getting this one is an easy decision, to give me more memory.

The local store had the same exact one but with 4gb of ram (for 299) and I looked online again and they had in stock the 8gb of ram. After some research, I found that the 4gb of RAM for 299 is the Intel processor one. the 8gb of RAM is this AMD A8 processor. For me, the 8gb of ram is better purchase. Since this is considered a budget laptop, I don't imagine you will do anything that a budget laptop can not handle. I was able to find this 8gb one in the same area as the 4gb/Intel processor in the shelves underneath. This 8gb one was not being displayed. Had to read the brown box details and BAM, 299 for 8gb of ram with AMD process.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.More memory is all good so who cares why g50 only comes with 4? They are expandable to more. Truth is processor is fast a good on G51 but it's AMD not Intel so costs less then Intel n Lenovo was cool and added more memory then the Intel processor model.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This was a $299 Black Friday special offer I believe, and there seem to be leftovers. If you look on the Lenovo website it is not available.
