• Yes you can. Kaspersky tends to be a bit intrusive, however.

• If it's microsoft, you can use the Microsoft Windows defender. It's a great antivirus, and it's free. All newer (windows 10) should have them pre-installed.

• Yes, you should be able to use any desktop A/V. Often Best Buy will offer bundled A/V products with the sale of a PC.
